The 34th National Music Festival in 2005 was held at Thompson Rivers University, Kamloops BC.
The Grand Award Competition was held in the Sagebrush Theatre, Kamloops.

The 2005 Grand Award winner was the Chamber Group
"Tong Brzewska Zhang Nenniger", from Alberta

Choral Taped Competitions

Choral groups compete at the local and provincial levels.  Their provincial competition performances are taped, and up to five groups from each province can be recommended to the National Music Festival. The taped performances are adjudicated by two adjudicators prior to the National Music Festival and the first- and second-place winners are announced at the Grand Award Concert.
